Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated August 2026. Questions? Email [email protected].

Most of Medicine in Practice is digital content supplied electronically with immediate access, and this policy covers that content. Human-delivered services (1:1 mentoring, the mentoring pack, monthly clinical supervision and pharmacist prescribing reviews) are not digital content and are covered separately by the Human-delivered services clause in our Terms, which gives you a proportionate refund for work not yet delivered. Please read the relevant policy carefully before you buy; by purchasing you accept it.

In short: non-refundable once you’ve accessed it

Because you get instant access to the content, once you have opened or begun using any part of what you bought, your purchase is non-refundable. Buy only if you’re sure.

14-day right

Your 14-day cancellation right, and how it is waived

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because access is immediate, at checkout you are asked to expressly consent to supply beginning straight away and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right as soon as you begin accessing the content. We make this clear before you pay and ask you to confirm it at checkout.

Printed certificate (a physical, personalised item). The printed certificate is posted to you (allow up to 14 working days) and is personalised with your name, so the 14-day change-of-mind right does not apply once printing has begun; you can cancel for a full refund any time before printing starts. If it arrives damaged, misprinted or with details we got wrong, tell us within 30 days and we will reprint and repost it free or refund the fee. See clause 6b of our Terms.

No refunds

When we do not give refunds

To be fair to everyone and to protect our content, we do not refund (except where the law requires, see below) in situations including:

Memberships

Memberships & subscriptions

Recurring memberships can be cancelled any time from your Account. Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods, and renewal payments are non-refundable once the new period has started, except where the law requires.

Your legal rights

Your legal rights if something is genuinely wrong

None of the above removes your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If the digital content is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, if that is not possible or does not fix it, an appropriate price reduction (which may be a refund). This applies to genuine faults, not to change of mind or to content simply becoming out of date over time (see clause 2 of our Terms: we do not warrant the content is current or error-free). If you think something is wrong, tell us first via the “ Report an issue” button or [email protected] and we will investigate and put right anything we are required to.
